HAMMEL SMA – Stationary Screening & Ferrous Separation System
The HAMMEL SMA is a robust stationary system designed to optimise material flow within metal processing plants by combining effective screening with reliable ferrous metal recovery.
Developed for use with pre-shredded materials, the SMA removes oversize fractions (>150 mm), ensuring a consistent and correctly sized material stream for downstream separation equipment. This not only protects valuable machinery but significantly improves the efficiency and performance of the overall processing line.
A heavy-duty magnetic drum extracts ferrous metals (FE) from the material stream, while non-ferrous (NE) materials continue through the system for further separation, such as eddy current or induction sorting.
Built for continuous operation in demanding environments, the SMA is ideal for processing mixed scrap, car bodies, and white goods, and integrates seamlessly into complete HAMMEL stationary plants.
